What type of healthcare facility is Ridge Medical Center?

Ridge Medical Center is a licensed private multi-specialty healthcare facility providing quality care for individuals and families. Our trained medical professionals are committed to safe, compassionate, and affordable healthcare.

Where are you located, and how can I contact you?

We are located on the ground floor of SU Tower at West Ridge, about a 5-minute drive from Ridge Roundabout. You can contact us by email at info@ridgemedicalcenter.com or by phone/WhatsApp on 050 140 7171.

What are your opening hours?

We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and public holidays.

Do I need an appointment before visiting?

Appointments are recommended for specialist clinic services to reduce waiting time and ensure timely consultation. Walk-in patients are welcome for general practitioner services and for specialist clinics available on the day. Emergency specialist consultations can also be arranged when needed.

How do I book, reschedule, or cancel an appointment?

You can book, reschedule, or cancel an appointment by calling our front desk, sending us a WhatsApp message, or using the appointment form on our website. Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you need to reschedule or cancel.

What services do you offer?

We offer emergency care, general outpatient consultations, specialist consultations, corporate health services, laboratory testing, X-ray, pharmacy services, ultrasound scans, ECG, echocardiogram, surgical care, outpatient care, and admission services.

What diagnostic services do you offer?

Our diagnostic services include laboratory investigations, ultrasound scans, X-rays, ECG, echocardiogram, and other cardio-related investigations.

Do you perform X-rays?

Yes. Our X-ray services include basic X-rays of various body parts and advanced radiological studies such as hysterosalpingogram (HSG), urethrogram, and fistulogram.

Do you perform laboratory tests?

Yes. We provide a wide range of laboratory investigations, including basic and advanced tests in haematology, serology, chemistry, hormones, histopathology, and immunology.

What ultrasound scans do you perform?

Our ultrasound services include pregnancy scans, gynaecology scans, 3D/4D scans, and Doppler studies.

Can I see a doctor on the same day I call?

Same-day appointments may be available depending on the doctor’s schedule. We recommend calling early to check availability. For emergencies, please come in immediately or call our emergency line.

Which cardiac investigations do you offer?

We offer ECG, echocardiogram, and a wide range of cardiac-specific laboratory tests.

Do you offer healthcare services for children?

Yes. We provide healthcare services for patients of all ages, including infants, children, and adolescents. Our team is experienced in paediatric care and child welfare services.

Do you handle emergencies?

Yes. We manage minor to moderate emergencies at our facility. For life-threatening emergencies that require intensive care or surgery, we provide immediate first-line care and arrange prompt referral to the appropriate hospital.

Can I get a referral letter from your facility?

Yes. If your condition requires specialist care or hospital admission beyond what we can provide, our doctor will issue a referral letter to guide your next step in care.

What happens if I need medication after my consultation?

Our on-site pharmacy stocks a wide range of prescribed and over-the-counter medicines, so in most cases you can fill your prescription before leaving the facility. If a medication is not immediately available, our warehouse will source it promptly and arrange delivery. We offer free delivery to selected areas within Accra, and a minimal delivery fee may apply outside covered areas. Our team will advise you on availability, delivery coverage, and any applicable charges.

What should I bring for my first visit?

First-time patients should bring a valid private insurance card, if applicable, and any previous medical records or test results relevant to their condition.

Will my medical information be kept confidential?

Yes. Your medical records and personal information are strictly confidential. We comply with Ghana’s patient confidentiality standards and data protection principles. Your information will not be shared with any third party without your consent, except where required by law.

How soon will I receive my test results?

Turnaround times depend on the type of test. Some results may be available the same day, while others may take a specified number of days. Our staff will advise you on the expected turnaround time when your sample is collected. Results can be collected in person or, for some tests, shared by email or WhatsApp.

How will I know when to return for a follow-up?

Your doctor will advise you on your follow-up schedule at the end of your consultation. You may also call our front desk to confirm your follow-up date or book a return appointment.

Can I walk in for laboratory tests only?

Yes. You can walk in for laboratory services.

How many specialist services do you provide?

We provide access to 25 specialists across 25 areas of care, covering adults, women’s health, children’s health, surgical care, mental health, diagnostics, rehabilitation, and wellness.

Some of our most frequently visited specialist clinics include Internal Medicine, Women’s Health, Kids, Diet, and Skin & Beauty Clinics. These services are led by experienced specialists focused on personalised, quality care.

Do you offer ambulance services?

Emergency ambulance services may be available upon request. Please contact our emergency line on 050 140 7171 for immediate assistance.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, mobile money (MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash, and AirtelTigo Money), and bank card payments. Please speak with our front desk for details on available payment options.

Do you accept health insurance?

Yes. We accept a range of private health insurance cards, including Nationwide Medical Insurance, Apex Health Insurance, Premier Health Insurance, ACE Medical Insurance, Emple Health Insurance, Acacia Health Insurance, Equity Health Insurance, Glico Health Insurance, Cosmopolitan Health Insurance, Star Health Insurance, Phoenix Health Insurance, Octaplus Health Insurance, and others. Please present your insurance card at the front desk before your consultation. If your plan requires pre-authorisation, we will work with you to obtain it from your insurer. If you are unsure whether your insurer is accepted, please call us in advance to confirm.

Do you accept the National Health Insurance (NHIS)?

We do not currently accept the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS). However, we accept a range of private health insurance schemes. Please contact us on 050 140 7171 or email info@ridgemedicalcenter.com for more information on accepted insurance plans.

How do I access my medical records?

You may request a copy of your medical records by submitting a written request at the front desk. Records are released strictly to the patient or an authorised representative, in line with Ghana’s data protection standards.

Do you offer corporate or group health packages?
